This past weekend, I had the opportunity to take part in Serve Saturday, and it was a reminder of what makes our community so special. Volunteers from across Palmetto came together to refresh and re-landscape the Sutton Park entry markers, giving one of our city’s most visible public spaces a clean, welcoming new look.
From pulling weeds and replacing plants to clearing debris and giving the area a fresh sense of pride, the project was simple—but meaningful. These small efforts add up, especially in spaces that thousands of residents and visitors pass every week.
A huge thank-you to everyone who showed up, got their hands dirty, and brought so much energy to the day. Community projects like this are always rewarding, and I'm grateful for the chance to be a part of it. My hope is that this little facelift brings a spark of pride to our city and encourages others to join in wherever they can.
Here’s to more service, more connection, and more reasons to love where we live.
