Grand Opening in Historic Downtown Palmetto.
Today we celebrated the official opening of Eleanor’s Coffee and Cakes, located at 449 10th Ave W (Old Main Street) in the heart of Palmetto’s Historic District.
The result of an eight-month labor of love by several generations of the Scarberry family, guided by the vision of Ella Scarberry, this charming new coffee shop is a beautiful addition to our downtown.
In attendance were Mayor Dan West, Ella Scarberry, Palmetto Downtown Main Street Executive Director Karon Dixon, and President Jordan Chancey, along with dozens of family members, friends, and local residents eager for a great cup of coffee and a welcoming space to gather.
Ella, a proud graduate of MTC’s culinary program, shared heartfelt words of thanks before her father, Dan Scarberry, opened the occasion with a prayer.
Eleanor’s Coffee and Cakes is now open Monday–Saturday — stop by, say hello, and experience one of Palmetto’s newest locally owned treasures.
