Groundbreaking on a New $7.5 Million School Campus in Parrish

For Parrish parents looking for a smaller school environment for their children, another option is coming closer to home.

Parrish Country Day School is moving forward with its new campus on Golf Course Road near Twin Rivers Trail, in the heart of one of Parrish’s growing family-oriented areas.

Plans call for approximately 21,000 square feet on 5.1 acres, representing an estimated $7.5 million investment in the new Parrish campus.

The location is especially interesting for families on the east side of Parrish. The school will be close to Twin Rivers, Canoe Creek and the surrounding neighborhoods, putting it within walking or short driving distance for many families who currently travel farther for private or alternative education options.

But the size of the school may be the bigger story.

As Parrish continues to grow and our larger schools serve more students, some parents are looking in the opposite direction. Smaller classes. A campus where teachers and staff know the students. More individual attention. A school community that feels connected instead of overwhelming.

That is the type of environment Parrish Country Day is working to create.

The school emphasizes inquiry-based learning and STEAM education, including science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, while incorporating elements of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years and Middle Years programs.

A quick look at the new Parrish Country Day campus:

• Approximately 21,000 square feet

Parrish has added a tremendous number of families over the past several years. More rooftops naturally create demand for more choices in education, including options for parents who want something smaller than a traditional large school campus.

For families searching for private schools in Parrish, Florida, smaller school environments, preschool and middle school options, or alternatives near Twin Rivers and Canoe Creek, this will be one to watch.
